Mission Statement
This is our first year competing in the FIRST Tech Challenge, and our goal is to learn, grow, and develop essential skills throughout the season. We are building on the lessons and teamwork we developed in previous FIRST LEGO League competitions, applying them in new and exciting ways. Beyond pursuing our own passions in STEM, we are committed to giving back to the community and inspiring younger students to explore technology and innovation. To accomplish this, we plan to introduce new systems and initiatives that will strengthen our team’s brand and expand our outreach.
Team Impact
As a rookie FTC team, we are committed to expanding our outreach within the community. This season, we aim to inspire the next generation of innovators by showing that, regardless of age or gender, hard work and dedication make anything possible. Our plans include visiting local schools to encourage students to explore STEM, spark curiosity, and cultivate a lasting passion for technology and innovation.
What is Team Deja Vu?
Deja Vu is a 10-member (7 female, 3 male) legacy FTC team committed to building a strong foundation in our first year while actively engaging in community outreach. We aim to inspire and empower others by sharing our passion for STEM and encouraging young students to explore technology and innovation. We are proud representatives of the 49ers STEM Leadership Institute and are sponsored by the Silicon Valley Education Foundation, who support our quest for knowledge, our drive to grow our skillset, and our commitment to giving back to the community.
Legacy Team
As the new members of Team DejaVu, we proudly carry forward the team’s name, parts, and rich legacy. Everything the team has built and achieved up to this point now belongs to us, and with that comes a great responsibility. Our mission is to honor the hard work and dedication of those who came before us while forging our own unique path. We’re excited to build on their foundation, grow as a team, and create new memories and accomplishments that will continue the DejaVu story for years to come.

What is FIRST?
FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is a non-profit organization that motivates students to innovate as they collaborate to complete robotics challenges and spread FIRST values.
